Pharmspot

Your faithful ally when landing a new pharma market

Pharmspot covers critical pieces of info needed for a medicine market entry decision, including:drug approval, intellectual property, and exclusivities.

01 Reliability

Reliable drug patent linkage

Pharmspot includes drugs approved by the US-FDA and JP-PMDA and adds the patents linked to each drug as well as accurate expiry dates for every patent. The reliability of the linkage enables pharma companies, especially generics, to quickly understand if and when they could enter a new market.

02 Coverage

Core patent coverage

Pharmspot includes 9,200+ core patents and 200,000 family members, relevant to 25400+ drugs approved in the U.S. and Japan.  The coverage of core drug patents allows users to more efficiently assess the legal risks associated with market entry and track legal status changes of out.

03 Edge

Purple Book patent data

Distinct from Orange Book (FDA-approved chemical rugs) which includes patents, Purple Book (FDA-approved biological drugs) is missing patent data. While regulations have been modified to require the submission of patents exchanged in "Patent Dance", the number of involved drugs and patents is limited. Pharmspot’s Purple Book patent data goes far beyond this, making it especially useful for companies looking to expand their product portfolio in the US market for biological/biosimilar drugs.
